Suspect Charged in Homicide Investigation

The Belton Police Department continues to investigate the homicide that occurred on Sunday, April 14. One of the suspects, Angel Harris, 17, of Belton, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The second suspect is a juvenile, who is also in custody.

On Sunday, April 14 around 9:52 p.m., Belton Police Department detectives responded to an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Shady Lane for an altercation call. Upon arrival, a 41-year-old man was found not breathing and officers engaged in life-saving measures. The man, identified as Bryant Howard of Belton, was later pronounced dead at the scene. Belton PD detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide. Two suspects have been identified and are in custody pending formal charges.
