Divisions
Engineering
The Engineering Division reviews all preliminary and final plats, replats, subdivision construction drawings, and various capital improvement project drawings for compliance with codes, regulations, and standards in correlation with the City of Belton's Public Works Design Manual. The division also coordinates inspections of infrastructure installation in new subdivisions and for city projects.
Maintenance
Facilities
The Facility Maintenance Division provides support to all city departments on maintenance, operations, and capital improvement projects at city facilities. These responsibilities include: facility maintenance, custodial services, preventive maintenance.
Fleet
The Fleet Maintenance Division oversees the preventive maintenance and repair for all city vehicles and equipment.
Streets and Drainage
The Streets and Drainage Division is responsible for maintaining the city streets and drainage in order to provide the citizens safe and effective streets and drainage ways. The responsibilities of the division include the maintenance of:
- City owned parking lots
- Signage
- Curb and gutters
- Street surfaces
- Street sweeping
- City owned stormwater drainage areas
Utility Operations
The Utility Operations Division is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the City’s water and sewer infrastructure. This division cleans and maintains the city's wastewater mains and lift stations. It also responds to clogged wastewater mains, emergency overflows and lift station call-outs.
Utility Locates
All utility locate requests are submitted through Texas 811. Requests are required at least 48 hours (two working days) prior to the planned start of excavation. For utility locate questions, call 254-933-5823.
