More than 100 vendors are still committed to participate in the event, which closes parts of Central Avenue and adjacent downtown streets from noon to 7 p.m. to allow shoppers to safely visit booths. The parade that is scheduled for 6 p.m. is also still planned.
This week downtown store owners announced they would stay open until 9 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, the Lena Armstrong Public Library will be showing Christmas movies for children during its normal business hours on Saturday.
The festivities will also include holiday choirs, Santa Clause at the Bell County Courthouse on the square, food, shopping, kids zone, and much more.
