Belton Police Arrest Man on Charge of Enticing a Child

The Belton Police Department arrested a 34-year-old Austin man on Wednesday on a charge of enticing a child. Timothy Vickers is in Bell County Jail with a bond of $2,000.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2016, witnesses reported a suspicious person in the 1600 block of Shady Lane. The witnesses said a man, later identified as Vickers, was driving around the area attempting to get children into his vehicle.

The criminal charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
