Belton City Council Election Expected to be Cancelled

With only incumbents filing for positions on the Belton City Council, it is likely that the election will be cancelled. The deadline to file was Feb. 23. An item requesting the cancellation of the election will be presented to the Belton City Council at its next meeting on Tuesday, March 8.

The three incumbents are:

Mayor Marion Grayson
Councilmember Paul Sanderford
Councilmember Guy O’Banion.
