Belton City Council to Consider Name Proposals for Three New Parks/Facilities

At a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Belton City Council will consider a proposal to name three new parks/facilities. The proposed names for the parks/facilities were developed by a Park Naming Committee. The Parks Board then finalized and approved the recommendations for consideration by the Council. The proposed names for the parks/facilities are below:

• 5th Field at Heritage Park: Clifton Peters Field
• Nature Trail to be built near Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge: Nolan Creek Nature Trail
• Parkland area between Yettie Polk and Confederate Parks: The Landing at Creekside Park

Please direct any comments or concerns to Parks and Recreation Director Matt Bates, 254-933-5860 or mbates@beltontexas.gov. He will share all the feedback he receives with the Belton City Council prior to its deliberations on the matter.
