Filing Period for Belton City Council is Open

The filing period for the Belton City Council opened on January 20. Candidates interested in running for Mayor or a Councilmember seat have until 5 p.m. on February 19 to file for a spot on the ballot or until February 23 to file as a write-in candidate.

Three terms are expiring: Mayor Marion Grayson, Councilmember Paul Sanderford and Councilmember Guy O’Banion.

Candidate packets are available at City Hall from the City Clerk or online at beltontexas.gov/elections.
