Temporary Road Closure on Tuesday

From 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 3, the City of Belton Water Department will close part of Montrose Street just east of Church Street to complete exploratory excavation of the water main, valves and fittings at the intersection of Montrose and Church.

Traffic from Montrose Apartments, Montrose Circle and the 400 Block of Montrose will be detoured onto Church Street and then onto Greenbriar Street.

Road Closed to Through Traffic signs will be placed at the intersection of Montrose and Main. Flagmen will be present to direct traffic as needed and to offer directions and answers to any questions citizens may have. Access will be granted to all emergency vehicles.

Following the investigation of subsurface conditions, a water outage schedule will be developed to provide notice to residents on the timing for valve replacement at the intersection.
