City Council Filing Period Opens Today

The filing period for the Belton City Council opened today. Candidates interested in running for a councilmember seat have until 5 p.m. on February 27 to file for a spot on the ballot. Election Day is May 9.

Four member terms are expiring: Mayor Pro Tem David K. Leigh, Craig Pearson, Dan Kirkley, and Jerri Gauntt.
