September 08, 2018
The Belton Police Department cordially invites the public to be a part of the 2018 National Night Out. National Night Out is a campaign which involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 16,000 communities in all 50 states. This year National Night Out will take place on October 2.
The police department is looking for citizens of Belton to get involved by hosting a block party. Hosting a party is easy and a great way to meet neighbors as well as strengthen community spirit and police-citizen partnerships. It also sends a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Those interested in hosting a block party are asked to fill out a registration form. This form can be found online or pick one up at the front desk of the police department. The registration deadline is September 14.
Registered parties receive supplies and assistance in coordinating the party from the Belton Police Department. If you have a question concerning National Night Out please contact Sgt. Richard Kusak at 254-933-5840.
