TxDOT to Host Public Meeting on Proposed U.S. 190 Expansion

TxDOT to Host Public Meeting on Proposed U.S. 190 Expansion

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host a public meeting, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, for the proposed expansion of U.S. 190 from Harker Heights to Belton.

TxDOT will present the project information in an Open House, ‘come and go’ format, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Harker Heights Library and Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail Drive. There will be no formal presentation.

The proposed project would add a third lane in each direction to U.S. 190. The work expansion would be within the existing median from approximately one mile east of FM 2410 (Knights Way) in Harker Heights to FM 2410 (Simmons Rd.) in Belton. Entrance and exit ramps are projected to change with this project. No additional right-of-way would be required.

Exhibits showing aerial photography and schematic plans of the proposed project corridor will be present at the meeting. Representatives from TxDOT and consultant study team will be available to address issues and answer individual questions. All interested citizens are invited to attend the meeting and discuss the project.
