Customer Service CodeCity of Belton employees strive to provide quality customer service to residents, businesses and visitors. To assist employees in this effort the following Customer Service Code is in place:
- Greet with a smile
- Give prompt and courteous service
- Assist in making direct contact with somebody who can appropriately address a request. If transferring a call, provide the caller with a contact name and phone number prior to the transfer.
- Return phone calls or email within 24 hours
- Give complete, reliable and accurate information
- Be fair and consistent when applying policies, codes and ordinances
- Never transfer a customer who has already been transferred more than once.
- Be good stewards of taxpayer dollars
- Collaborate with others to explore options and offer creative solutions
- Have a "can do" attitude
