Belton City Council to Consider Name Proposal for New Park

At a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 25, the Belton City Council will consider a proposal to name a new park adjacent to South Belton Middle School. The proposed name of Jeff Hamilton Neighborhood Park came from a resident. It was unanimously approved by a Park Naming Committee. The Parks Board then finalized and approved the recommendation for consideration by the Council.

Please direct any comments or concerns to Parks and Recreation Director Matt Bates, 254-933-5860 or mbates@beltontexas.gov. He will share all feedback he receives with the Belton City Council prior to its deliberations on the matter.
