Board Discusses Parks Master Plan Update in Workshop

public meeting notification-01The City of Belton Parks Board met in a workshop on Monday to discuss the recently completed survey that will help guide an update to Belton's Parks Master Plan.

More than 396 respondents took the survey during the open period from February through the first week of April. On Monday, the Board and a representative from Luck Design Team discussed priorities that emerged from the survey.

On Monday, May 9, the Parks Board will host its second meeting to gather public input about the update to the Parks Master Plan. The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the Harris Community Center. Light refreshments will be served.

At that meeting a representative from Luck Design Team will present an initial draft of needs and priorities for consideration for inclusion in the updated Parks Master Plan. The meeting will be the final opportunity for the public to participate in the process that will guide the future development and expansion of the Belton parks system.
