Public Works Director Resigns

On Monday, November 23, 2015, Belton Director of Public Works Mike Huber submitted his resignation, which was accepted by City Manager Sam Listi. Mr. Huber had been employed at the City and served in the capacity as Director of Public Works and City Engineer since April 1, 2013.

During Mr. Huber’s tenure in Belton, the City was able to make numerous advances, including implementation of many projects in the 2013 Capital Improvement Plan, construction of several important infrastructure projects, and also enhanced safety procedures for employees.

“We wish Mr. Huber success in his future endeavors,” Mr. Listi said.

A search for the next Director of Public Works for Belton will begin immediately.

Until a replacement for Mr. Huber is hired, Byron Sinclair will serve as Interim Director of Public Works, and Angellia Points will serve as Interim City Engineer. Both Mr. Sinclair and Mrs. Points are Assistant Directors of Public Works, responsible for Operations and Programs, respectively.
