Registration Period is Open for Residents Interested in Becoming National Night Out Host

NNO webThe Belton Police Department is looking for Belton residents interested in hosting a block party for National Night Out on October 3.

Hosting a party is easy, and it’s a great way to meet neighbors as well as strengthen community spirit and police-citizen partnerships. It also sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and prepared to meet challenges.

Those interested in hosting a block party may fill out an online registration form. Print forms may be picked up at the front desk of the police department. Registration deadline is September 15, 2017.

To help coordinate the party, registered participants receive supplies and assistance from Belton PD. Please direct any questions about National Night Out to Sgt. Doug Taylor at 254-933-5840.

National Night Out is a campaign that involves citizens, law enforcement, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from more than 15,000 communities in all 50 states.
