Picture of Desert Storm Flag at City Hall.During the Memorial Day weekend, Belton is flying Desert Storm flags at City Hall and at the Police Department Memorial in honor of Marine Corps Pilot Captain Jack and all Dessert Storm Vets.

Local business owner Adriane Hodges requested that the City fly the flags to bring awareness to an effort to build a national Desert Storm and Desert Shield memorial in Washington D.C. Hodges' father, Jonathan Ross Edwards, AKA "Captain Jack," was killed on Feb. 1, 1991 during Dessert Storm.

For more information about the monument visit www.ndswm.org.

In addition to Captian Jack, we express sincere appreciation to all of the military men and women who have died in support of the United States of America.
