UPDATE:
June 19, 2019 -- 2:28 p.m.
The Belton Police Department has released the name of the individual who died in a car crash this morning. His name is Jeremy Puryear, 41, of Killeen. An earlier release said the deceased was 30. That information was based off an unverified preliminary estimate made at the scene. We regret the error.

The vehicle left the roadway just west of the Temple-Belton Wastewater Treatment Plant and crashed into the fence of a temporary construction storage area. No other injuries were reported. The vehicle that Puryear was driving was the only one involved in the crash.
