Part of Shady Lane to Close Next Week for Construction
Part of Shady Lane will be closed for up to three weeks beginning Monday, Oct. 28, to allow for the installation of a new sewer line from the entrance of Belle Oaks Apartments to Sharon Road.The closure is needed for the safety of pedestrians, workers and motorists while a trench is opened up in the area.
During of this closure, Belle Oaks Apartments will only be accessible from E. Avenue J. In addition, residents with addresses located within the closure at times may not be able to drive to their home or access their driveway. To assist these residents, nearby temporary parking will be available just outside of the work zone. The closure will not affect mail and trash service.
When the project is complete, yards, driveways, parking lots, etc. will be repaired. Also, Shady Lane will be repaved with a new layer of asphalt after all of the sewer line is installed.
