Submission Period Extended for Belton-Waste Management Scholarship

Submission Period Extended for Belton-Waste Management Scholarship

FB Belton Waste Management ScholarshipThe submission period has been extended for high school seniors interested in competing for the annual City of Belton-Waste Management scholarships.

This decision was made to give seniors more time to apply. With classes canceled last week at Belton High School following the tragic death of a student, some students interested in applying for the scholarship may have had difficulty fulfilling some of the scholarship requirements.

The new deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, May 13.

This year two students will each be awarded $2,000 scholarships, provided applicants meet all of the requirements.

The scholarship is open to graduating seniors living within the Belton-Waste Management service area. This includes areas serviced by Waste Management under the City of Belton refuse contract, such as the Belton city limits and Three Creeks. Applicants may attend any area school. To verify eligibility, visit this page and type in your address. You are eligible if your address generates.

The Scholarship Application is available online. Please submit completed applications with supporting documents electronically. Contact Paul Romer, promer@beltontexas.gov or 254-933-5889, with any questions.

The NEW APPLICATION DEADLINE is 5 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2021. Late applications will not be considered.
