Charter Election set for November

Charter Election set for November

September 16, 2020

When Belton residents enter the polls in November, they have an opportunity to vote on five proposed amendments to the City's Charter. The Charter and City Council elections will be at the end of the ballot, so make sure you don't miss them.

To assist residents with understanding the proposed amendments, the City has developed a web page with basic information available at beltontexas.gov/charterelection.

The page describes the weeks-long Charter review process prior to the Belton City Council calling for a Charter Election, and describes each proposed amendment that voters will consider.

Qualified voters are invited to read the page prior to voting, and, please remember that the Charter Election will be at the end of the 2020 General Election Ballot.
