Belton Announces Two-hour Delayed Start for Employees

City of Belton has announced it will delay the start on the workday by two hours for non-essential employees on Monday, Jan. 11, due to inclement weather. As a result, City offices are scheduled to be open by 10 a.m. on Monday.

“This decision is made based on current road conditions and a forecast that anticipates freezing temperatures overnight,” City Manager Sam Listi said. “We ask our employees and the public to take precautions and to avoid traveling in unsafe conditions.”

The Belton Police Department recommends staying home until the roadway is clear of ice and snow.
