City of Belton facilities will remain closed on Friday, Feb. 19, and employees will not report to work, with the exception of emergency service employees. The closure is due to extreme weather and road conditions.

Oncor and Atmos Energey continue to ask Texans to conserve energy by limiting the use of electricity and natural gas, as energy demand remains at historic highs.

Freezing weather conditions continue to affect several City of Belton services. Please be aware of the following:

  • Trash Collection: Waste Management will not collect trash on Friday, and  plans to resume its normal schedule on Monday, Feb. 22.
  • Pipes: To report a water leak on a public water line or receive assistance turning off water to your house call 254-933-5823.
  • Utility Billing: The Feb. 15 payment deadline is extended until 5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22.
  • Road Conditions: Roads continue to be hazardous due to the accumulation of ice. Please stay off the road, if possible.
  • Brush Collection: City brush collections are suspended until Monday, Feb. 22.
  • Online Services: Services offered on the City of Belton website such as filing a police report or submitting a building permit are still available.
