Planning & Zoning Commission recommends changes

The Belton Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval for the following items at their meeting on April 19, 2022. The items are up for approval by the City Council at their April 26 meeting. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and is held at the Harris Community Center, 401 N. Alexander St.

  1.     Approved 5-1  -  Hold a public hearing and consider a zoning change from Commercial Highway to Commercial Highway with a Specific Use Permit for the Placement of an Electronic Changeable Sign on approximately 8 acres located at 500 N. I-35 Service Road, on the east side of I-35, south of Nolan Creek (Crossroads Church property).
  2.    Approved 6-0   -  Hold a public hearing and consider a zoning change from Retail (R) and Planned Development – Retail (PD-R) District to Planned Development – Retail and Amended Planned Development- Retail on approximately 4.676 acres located at the northwest intersection of West Loop 121 and Southwest Parkway.
  3.     Approved 6-0   -  Hold a public hearing and consider a zoning change from Commercial-2 to Planned Development – Multiple Family District (PD – MF) on approximately 0.680 acres located at the northeast intersection of East 2nd Avenue and N. Blair Street.
  4.    Approved 6-0   -   Hold a public hearing and consider a zoning change from Planned Development – Retail (PD-R) to Retail (R) on approximately 0.488 acres located at 1706 N. Main Street and described as Turtle Creek Phase VI, Block 1, Lot 1.
